    2012 Olympic Medal Table Predictions

Many data analysts have their chart ready as to who would be the biggest winners in Olympics 2012. Even though it is too early to narrow down on anyone, analysts like SportsMyriad, Goldman Sachs, etc… predict Great Britain to be one of the prime competitors in this edition of Olympics. Few other predictions also hint that Olympics 2012 Medals Table would reflect Great Britain next to US, Russia, and China in terms of total number of medals. This report is could not be considered foolproof since its deciding factors are Gross Domestic Product, Country’s Economic System, Public Spending on Sport, and Total Number of Medals won in previous editions.

As an Indian, do not be disappointed if you don’t find India anywhere in that Olympics 2012 Medals Table. When you look into those deciding factors of prediction report, you would realize why the name is not reflected. It is a bit sad when a country as big as ours gives a little attention to sports other than cricket, hockey, and tennis. Probably it is time to questions ourselves as we see those numerous athletes of various countries taking part in various games. Where is our pride as a nation?

    India

Did u say Great Britain to top the Olympics 2012 Medals Table? By the look of things happening at Olympics, I doubt it would. China has already taken a lead on the table with 6 golds, 4 silver, 2 bronze taking it total to 12 as of today, 30.07.12. Followed by it are US and Italy with total number of 11 and 8 respectively as of today. Great Britain has managed 2 medals so far, but I seriously doubt they top the table.

I am though seriously not entertained as to who tops the list. But I give every damn to see India on the Olympics 2012 Medals Table. Thanks to Gagan Narang, India has started its quest for luarels in Olympics 2012. Common guys, post your take on Gagan Narang, and India chances to climb the Medal Tables.
