UPSC Special Class Railway Apprentices' Examination 2013
I would like to state that if there is any interested candidate wanting to apply for the post of Special Railway Apprentices in Mechanical Department of Indian Railways then it is the right time to do so as opening in it is declared by Union Public Service commission (UPSC) of New Delhi.
There will be written examination that will be followed by interview test and documents verification where the candidates have to excel to get qualified for the applied post. Written test is to be held from 20th January of 2013 at various centers of it like Ahmedabad, Agartala, Allahabad, Aizwal, Bareilly, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Cuttack, Chennai, Delhi, Dehradun, Dispur, Dharwar, Hyderabad, Gangtok, Itanagar, Imphal, Jammu, Jaipur, Kochi, Jorhat, Kolkata, Kohima, Madurai, Lucknow, Nagpur, Mumbai, Patna, Panaji (Goa), Raipur, Port Blair, Sambalpur, Ranchi, Shimla, Shillong, Thiruvananthapuram, Srinagar, Visakhapatnam, Udaipur and Tirupati.

Desired candidates for the post must have passed Intermediate or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry as one of the subjects of the examination, with 1st class or 2nd class division from a recognized Board or University, including Bachelor’s Degree (Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry as one of the subjects) from a recognized University or Institute.
Even Higher Secondary (12 years) Examination Passed candidate under 10 + 2 pattern of School Education with Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry as one of the subjects of the examination can also apply for the post but should have 1st class or 2nd class division from a recognized Board or University.
First year Examination Passed candidate under the three year Degree course from a University or the first year examination of the three year Diploma course in Rural Service of the National Council for Rural Higher Education or the third year Examination for promotion to the 4th year of the four year BA or B Sc Degree (Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry subject) (Evening College) under Madras University with 1st class or 2nd class division can also apply for the post but one must have passed the first or second year examination under the three-year degree course (Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry) with 1st class or 2nd class division from a recognized University.
Else one with Pre-Engineering Examination Passed with 1st class or 2nd class division from a recognized University or Institute can also apply for the post.
Pre-Professional or Pre-Technological Examination Passed (Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry) candidate with 1st class or 2nd class division from a recognized Indian University or Board, conducted one year after the Higher Secondary or Pre-University Stage can also apply.
First years examination Passed candidates under the five years Engineering Degree Course from a University with qualification of Higher Secondary Examination or Pre-University or its equivalent examination can also apply for the post but must have secured 1st class or 2nd class division.
Pre-Degree Examination (Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry) Passed candidates from the Universities of Kerala and Calicut can also apply for the post but must have secured 1st class or 2nd class division.
Applicant for the post must be aged above 17 years and below 21 years. This age limitation is not observed over SC, ST, PH, EXS and OBC candidates as per to the government norms.
There will be imposition of Application fee of Rs 100 for all excluding SC, PH, Women and ST candidates. Payment should be made in DD format that is drawn in any Branch of SBI by cash or through net banking facility provided at SBI / State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur / State Bank of Hyderabad / State Bank of Mysore / State Bank of Patiala / State Bank of Travancore or by Visa / Master Credit / Debit Card.
On 13th October or before 12th November within the time frame of 11.59 pm one has to make online registration (that is to be done in Part I Registration & Part II Registration) for the desired post by downloading the application format from UPSC official link: http://www.upsconline.nic.in/
For future reference one should secure a print out copy of the system generated completed online application form that will carry a unique Registration No. after successful submission.
