    Bank holidays 2013 in India

    Hi friends

    I have applied for personal loan in bank .Before that I want to know the bank holidays list so that I can just check out my loan status on working days.

    Bank employees in India are entitled to bank holidays every year. These holidays are declared by Reserve Bank of India. RBI has announced 2013 bank holidays and the holiday dates might differ from one state to another since festivals are distinct for each state.

    Tuesday January 1st 2013 New year day

    Monday, January 14, 2013 - Makar Sankranti

    10th March, 2013 Mahashivaratri

    24th of January, 2013 (Thursday) Id-E-Milad

    27th March, 2013 Holi - Festival of Colors

    20th April, 2013 - Shri Ram Navami

    23rd April, 2013 - Mahavir Jayanti

    29th March (Friday), 2013 - Good Friday

    1st May, 2013 - May Day

    25th May, 2013 - Buddha Purnima

    15th August, 2013 - Independence Day

    Wednesday, August 21, 2013 - Rakhi (Raksha Bandhan

    Wednesday 28 August, 2013 Janmashtami

    8th August, 2013 - Id ul Fitr (End of Ramadan)

    9th September, 2013 - Ganesh Chaturthi

    2nd October, 2013 - Gandhi Jayanti

    14th October, 2013 - Dussehra (Vijaya Dashami)

    15th October 2013 - Id-ul-Zuha or Bakri Id

    3rd November to 7th November, 2013 - Deepavali Festival

    17th November (Sunday), 2013 - Guru Nanak Jayanti

    17th November (Sunday), 2013 - Guru Nanak Jayanti

    25th December, 2013 - Christmas Day

    Republic Day and Gandhi Jayanti. Banks in India might stay open during regional religious festivals
