Re: bed wetting

Consult a pediatrician.
As a med std i can suggest u somethng>
bedwetting s due to deep sleep. Fulnes of his bladder cant stimulate his brain nd so he didnt wake up to void urine.
So, take some measures
1. Dont allow him to drink much water just bfore sleep
2. Wake him up at night 4 urination
3. Allow him to sleep during day time also so dat during night he does nt go into deep sleep.

Bye to all frnds...i m leaving...i want to b alone now...

Re: bed wetting

Kishore..

It depends and differs from kid to kid.. Some kids stop as early as 2 years and some go on till 10 years..

Was your son on diapers for a long time.. Kids who are used to diapers normally take longer time to adjust..

Wake up your kid in the night and take him to the loo once..

Avoid water/ milk before sleep...

Talk to him and tell him that since he's getting older he should be able to get up in the night and use the toilet or should atleast wake you up..

Don't make him feel embarrassed or ashamed..

cheers

Re: bed wetting

my daughter is 2yrs and 9 mths and has been toilet trained since last around 3 mths or so, although she still has accidents say average once a fortnight for urine and stol... that too only when she is too busy in some of her favourite plays...But then too she would speak and pass urine or stool at the same time.
I had been thinking that winter is around the corner...and I am worried that the cold weather might spoil her inculcating habit again. I had been trying to pick her up at nights and make her sit for toilet at the bed pot itself so as carrying her to washroom doesn't annoy her and frankly speaking I find it difficult to carry her in sleep to the washroom and make her sit on the pot. She was sort of ok with this for few days but now since last 2 mths, she gets very very annoyed when I pick her for urine at nights..she would yell badly and throw her arms and legs and I find it difficult to handle her. I have been trying to make her understand but she would just say-" muma nikal gya beech mei...aage se ni karungi "!!

As for the above raised point of diapers..I had never put her much into it and since last april, she never wore diaper at night and no diapers at all since last 4mths+.

Plz suggest how to overcome winters keeping her toilet trained and about bed wetting.
Also, I'd like to mention that I take care she doesnt take much of fluids after 7pm, just some water before and after dinner around 9 is her last sip and she sleeps around 10.30 and has been bed wetting since last week else she used to cross the night dry, till 6 in morning.

I had made her toilet trained through advice from one such forum and look forward to more achievements here too :-)

Re: bed wetting

Supsam..

I am sure its because of the weather,, What you cna possibly do is take her to the loo once around 1:30  or 2 am .. Initially they'll cry etc but after a while they will get used to it and slowly will get up to use the toilet themselves..

I am not sure but this works for me.. I make them do on the wash basin or sink in the bathroom while carrying them.. you know like holding a baby .. Don't rest them on the sink ...They will be sleeping and will not cry either..Check it out.. In the morning rinse the sink with dettol or lysol..

But since its winter the controlling factor would be less..

Cheers
