Try this snack.. Its easy to make and tastes great..
Ingredients
Black eyed beans (lobhia) flour 1 1/2 cups
Salt to taste
ajwain, crushed 1/2 teaspoon
Oil 2 tablespoons + to deep fry
Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
Chaat masala 1 teaspoon
Mix the flour and salt. Add crushed ajwain and mix. Add one-tablespoon oil and just enough water and knead into a stiff dough.
It should be of chapathi atta consistency.. Divide the atta into rounds ..
Roll out each portion as thin as possible. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Cut strips of the rolled out dough and deep fry till crisp.Let it not get black,,,
Mix red chilli powder and chaat masala powder and sprinkle over the fried strips when still hot.
Variations:
You can make this out of leftover phulkas or chapathis.. Cut them into strips and fry.. sprinkle some salt and chat masala..
Maida can be used instead of this flour but chavli atta is more healthy..
You can add some haldi to the atta and some garlic if you wish to..
Try it out..
Cheers
