Friends-- my daughter is 3 yrs old and she sleeps with us. Is this right age to make her sleep in separate room?

yes ginii, this is the right age you can get her sleep in a separate room, because after getting older she would be habitual of sleeping with you and hence it may create a problem for you. So start slowly to get her sleep in a separate room.

    Hi ginii,
Yes its time to get her to sleep on her own. Eventhough Initially she might come to you by midnight they get used to it and prefer it after a while..

Put some of her fav cuddly toys beside her and some music she likes and she'll look forward to it..

    good luck

For the first few days you might face some resistence. May be one of you, ( you or your husband ) can sleep with her for a few days on alternat days. Slowly reduce the duration, in the sense once she gets used to the new room etc, be with her till she sleeps off and then move to your room. However keep your room door open for a few days incase she gets frightened and seeks your company.
