    kanjeevaram idli south Indian recipe

    hi, mere pathi ko idli bohath pasand hain, abhi thode dino se kanjeevaram idli ke bharein bholrein mujhe nahi patha woh kaise banaya jhatha hain kya aap logon ko patha hain yeh south indiam recipe toh please mujhe bathayi yeh.... Thank you.

    Hey Dear !!

    I do not understand what have you mentioned here but i can make out you are asking for the recipe of Kanjeepuram idli its very easy and simple too just try !!

    For Idli batter:
    Raw Rice: 1 cup
    Boiled Rice: 2 cup
    Urad dhal: 1 cup

    For seasoning
    Sesame oil: 2 tablespoon
    Melted ghee: 1 tablepoon
    Fresh thick curd: 3 tablespoon
    Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
    Pepper: 1.5 tsp
    Jeera/Cumin seeds: 1.5 tsp
    Ginger powder/sukku podi: 1 tsp
    Hing: 1/2 tsp
    Cashew nuts: 1 tablespoon (optional)
    Curry leaves: a sprig

    How to Prepare :

    You need to soak the dal and rice separately an about 8 hrs.
    After grinding it leave it for ferment whole night,
    Powder these pepper and cumin seeds,
    In a pan take 2 table spoon ghee and fry cumin powder and ginger, powder,hing and curry leaves.Fry the cashews as well.
    After frying these por it in batter and add curd and mix well.
    Pour it into idli moulds and steam cook for 15 - 20 minutes(This may take little longer to cook than normal idlis
    Now the Hot hot Yummy KANJEEPURAM IDLIíS are ready to serve, you can serve this with chutney pudi or sambar will be the good combination.
